  5. Make ready 3 Tbsp sugar
  6. Take 3 Tbsp sake
  7. Make ready 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  8. Prepare 1 Tbsp vegetable oil

So there are definitely more ingredients in a chili than in most other things. Although half of them are probably spices. haha. Tender flank steak fried and tossed in a thick Asian inspired sauce. It doesn't matter if the beef isn't finished cooking yet, it'll continue to cook in the remaining steps.

Step by Step to make 5 Minute Beef & Ginger Stir-Fry:
  1. Chop up the meat. Julienne the ginger. Finely chop the green onion.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and first cook the ginger. Once fragrant, add the meat and continue cooking.
  3. Once the oil has coated everything, add the sake and the sugar. Briefly stir-fry.
  4. Remove the ingredients from the pan. Pour in the soy sauce and bring it to a simmer. Return the ingredients and cook in the soy sauce.
  5. Once cooked, add the green onion and lightly stir-fry to finish.
  6. If adding Japanese leek (naga-negi), add it in a little bit before the soy sauce.

Super beef satay: My husband loves this dish. I make this at least once a week. Loaded with beef, hash-brown potatoes and vegetables, every bite of this savory stew is sure to satisfy. It's also great for when you want to be a bit healthier and ditch. Am I the only one incapable of saying that without doing a bad Julia Child.
